Hey all! Just wanted to let you know that I plan to update the site this weekend. It has been too crazy at work lately with most of our office being transferred and no replacements on the near horizon.

BEAVERTON -- Beaverton’s cross country team sent two runners to the state competition this weekend at the Michigan International Speedway. Garin Krahn and Greg Roberts traveled to state following their Oct. 27 meet at Delta College where the Beaverton cross country team placed ninth in the regional meet. Krahn displayed his amazing combination of endurance and speed to pace the Beavers during the Oct. 27 meet. He finished in 11th place. Roberts ran his personal best time of the year as he impressively finished 15th with a time of 17:36. Rick Bennet also put in a fine performance with his best race of the season. At the state competition, Krahn placed 93rd with a time of 17:03 and Roberts placed 148th with a time of 17:37. Season awards were given to Garin Krahn for Captain and Outstanding Runner; Greg Roberts for Most Improved; Ronnie Moore for Hardest Worker; Joe Ross for Best 1st Year Runner; Willie Arft, Brad Piach and Rick Bennett each garnered the Coaches Award. |
